Below we offer medical resources and information on clinics serving the 22q community. This is not an extensive list of clinics throughout the country because we are a Texas-based organization. We offer these few due to the unique services they offer. 22q Texas does not endorse any specific medical provider or program.
22q Deletion Syndrome Team Program at Children's Health in Dallas
The 22q Team Program in Dallas is dedicated to providing specialty multidisciplinary care and support to children with 22q. With a clinic model, the program individually coordinates your child’s care, allowing your family to see every specialist needed to identify the needs of your child during a single visit.
Medicaid, Financial and Living Resources in Texas
We have compiled a list of valuable resources, including Medicaid waiver programs, for individuals with medical or intellectual disabilities. We strongly encourage parents to join waiting lists as soon as their child receives a diagnosis.
International 22q11.2 Foundation
Established in 2003 by a group of parents and medical professionals, the International 22q11.2 Foundation is dedicated to supporting the needs of families and individuals affected by 22q chromosome differences by promoting awareness, clinical care and research around the globe. The website has a wealth of information on health, behavior, education and developmental skills for all stages of life with 22q.
The Foundation hosts a biennial international conference, bringing together the foremost 22q experts in the world; the next conference will take place in the summer of 2026.
22q Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital
The 22q Center’s multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive, individualized diagnostic and management services for children with 22q. Specialists work together to treat your child’s specific conditions associated with 22q, and staff assist with the housing, transportation and insurance needs.
The Center hosts a biennial Healthy You & 22q Conference in Columbus, Ohio, bringing together families and those affected by 22q. Programming typically includes updates on medical research, information on the 22q medical profile, breakout sessions on various topics, activities for kids of all ages and an awareness walk. The next conference will take place in September of 2026.
22q Family Foundation
Dedicated to “taking the mystery out of 22q” by raising awareness while connecting, supporting and offering accurate information to families affected by the disorder. Their Education Station and Career Pathways programs offer parents and young adults unparalleled expertise. They offer a library of tools and videos on a variety of topics, as well as links to 22q clinics and support groups.
UC Davis MIND Institute Chromosome 22q11.2
The MIND Institute is an interdisciplinary, collaborative research, clinical and educational center committed to deepening the scientific understanding of the challenges associated with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions, such as 22q. They employ clinicians and scientists who work together to improve the lives of individuals and families.
